No, the travel eSIM is intended for using data abroad, allowing you to avoid roaming fees from your mobile provider. It does not include data in the UK.
You can install and turn on your eSIM before you travel, but your data plan will not start until you arrive in a covered country. That means your validity period only begins when you first connect at your destination, not at the point of installation.
Your eSIM is valid for 30 days upon connection at your destination. If you purchase a data top-up during your trip, it will be valid for the remainder of the validity period. If you purchase an additional plan, that plan will have an independent 30 day validity period.
